Improve Your Diet & Lifestyle & Stay Looking & Feeling Good
Are you losing the ‘flush of youth’? There are many attacks on our skin every day; sun, wind, lack of proper hydration or care. Fairly soon you will look in the mirror and wonder when your skin started to look so dull or from where those dark circles under the eyes, puffy eyes or wrinkles started to appear.
To reduce further aging and hold on to a youthful and vibrant appearance, preventing the premature aging process is far better than a cure. Your skin will remain looking good for longer if you adopt the right kind of lifestyle make sure of eight hours sleep every night, moisturize regularly, stay out of the sun and improve your diet.
A really good night’s quality sleeping will not only be vital for good health and restoration of energy levels but will also be vital for maintaining good looking skin and in turn a more youthful appearance. During sleep times a process of repair and regeneration take place, new growth hormones repair and replace damaged tissues and cells that make up the skin’s structure giving them new life and thereby preventing the premature aging process. Even just one or two nights of poor sleep may well result in physical symptoms appearing in the form of dark circles under the eyes, bags under the eyes or dull, sallow looking skin.
Moisturisers are not only used to add moisture but to smoothen, soften and plump up the surface of the skin and to prevent the escape of natural oils and moisture. They should both re-hydrate and nourish your skin to keep it looking softer and supple. Use them to assist the skin’s natural functions but not replace them.
Special care is required around the eye area as the skin there is more delicate. Choose a light moisturising product that has been specially developed for this area. If you have dark circles or bags under the eyes look for eye cream specifically developed to help reduce the affects of these particular problems. Products that contain the Vitamin K together with a mix of peptides can be particularly beneficial.
Ageing skin looses moisture more easily and we need therefore help with moisturisers to prevent lines and wrinkles forming. Use a lighter moisturiser during the day and a more intensive formula at night.
Get advice from people who understand the various requirements of the different skin types and then test small samples of these products to see how they react with your skin. If you have sensitive skin then you will need to be particularly careful with the products that you choose.
Once you find products that are suitable and use them on a daily basis you will find that the condition of your skin can improve quite considerably and this will make you look healthier and younger.

Maintaining a well-balanced diet is critical to the maintenance of a healthy looking skin. Whole grains, seeds, nuts, and oily fish such as mackerel tuna and sardines are excellent sources of fatty acids and essential oils that all help to keep skin healthy and hydrated.
Too much exposure to the sun is one the biggest factors involved in premature aging of the skin, the harmful rays of the sun burn the skin and damage cell structures breaking down collagen so that skin becomes lined, wrinkled and leathery looking instead of looking young fresh and new. It is worth noting that sun damaged skin may not become evident until some ten years or so after the damage is done
Wear protective sunscreen – Do not underestimate the importance of wearing lotions with Sun Protection Factor Ingredients (SPF minimum… 15 is best). Sun Protection Factor sunscreen lotions are effective in blocking UV light from penetrating through your skin, apply them before going out in the sun and use them regularly.
To stay looking a beautiful 30, 40, 50 or whatever the year old you do need to adopt a skin care regime as soon as possible without doubt. However, you can help yourself hold on to that youthful skin tone for longer by improving your lifestyle and diet as suggested here as well as grabbing those highly expensive over the counter solutions we hear of on TV and read about in glossy magazines.
