You can start this exercise as soon as you realize you have woken up.
Notice your breathing. Feel your breath flowing through your nose and filling your lungs
As you breathe in visualize pulling golden light in through the top of your head.
Imagine the light flowing through you with each inhalation - first filling your head, then your throat, then your chest and arms, your stomach and legs.
Imagine that you are shining with golden light, floating gently just above your bed and radiating beams of light. Stay that way for as long as you like.
When you are ready, exhale slowly and open your eyes.
