I usually enjoy to stick to mainly Wholefoods and fruit for my breakfast. In fact, I almost always only have yogurt and fruit. What many people don’t understand is that it actually uses much more energy to digest foods such as breakfast cereals and toast. Digesting fruit takes much less energy to digest, and therefore gives you much more energy to start your day with a bang.

The other advantage of having mainly fruit in the morning is that you can get a lot of the vitamins and nutrients that you need on a right there and then. In general, you want to include fruits of several different colours. This is a simple way to make sure that you get a nice selection of fruits that provide you with different vitamins and nutrients.

My personal favourites for the morning are Tibetan Goji Berries and blueberries. They don’t just provide extremely high really great for mixing into yogurt (or even a breakfast cereal if you choose to eat one). The goji berries have much higher levels of antioxidants but you can’t get them fresh. Blueberries can be eaten fresh, of course.

Another fruit that I usually like to include are oranges. Often I will just slice an orange in half and eat it straight, and other times I will squeeze them to make juice. You can’t beat freshly squeezed orange juice to accompany your breakfast!

Of course oranges are high in vit c, just like your Goji berries, so they are a great addition.

Other fruits that are awesome to have are bananas (which you can mash. There are of coursehave but those are just my favourites.

If you try to make an effort to start your day off with a great healthy breakfast like this of Health Foods and fruit, I’m positive you will really feel the difference. It gives you a real boost of energy - not just physically, but also mentally. You feel alive and healthy and ready to take on whatever the day has planned for you!

Promise yourself to give yourself a healthy start every day for the next week, and feel the difference!

Being healthy begins from the very instant you awake every day. It always amazes me to see the number of people actually skip their breakfast entirely! Your breakfast is your most important meal to get you energised for your day ahead.
