Diet Archives

The acai berry diet has been credited with a number of things, but did you know that one of the claims made on its behalf is that it has the ability to help people sleep? It might sound a bit strange, but the fact of the matter is that it is true. You can add improved sleep to the long list of accolades that the acai diet has been able to accrue over the relatively short period of time that it has been in use in the First World.

It is largely reported and with little scientific backing, but there are a handful of studies out there that show that the acai berry might have something to do with the improved sleep that people get when they are on the diet.

Specifically, there are two things that people claim to get vis–vis their sleep when on the acai berry diet. First, they feel as though their sleep is far more restful at night, with relatively few interruptions and periods of waking when compared with what they would normally expect. At the same time, these people are also reporting that they wake up feeling far more refreshed thanks to the acai diet, a fact that does not necessarily follow since people that sleep better at night tend to wake up feeling better in the morning as well.

This particular claim is problematic, only because it is difficult to judge it. Specifically, the problem is in the area of knowing whether the sleep improvements are directly something that can be associated with the present of the acai berry, or rather a positive side effect of the weight loss and better fitness that people tend to have when they go on this particular diet. Even studies that have determined the sleep improvement correlation to be true have trouble with this fact because it is nearly impossible to tell which of those two factors are ultimately responsible for the sleep improvements.

At the end of the day though, it really doesn’t matter which of those two cause better sleep. What matters is that the acai berry diet has been tied to a marked improvement in a person’s sleep patterns and that is just one more reason why it is a worthwhile diet to try.

Acai Berry Diet For Your Healthier Skin

by Dana Hawkes

Every now and then in the field of health science, a product comes along that has amazing effects in areas that have absolutely nothing to do with its original purpose. This is the case with the acai berry diet, which was mainly a diet that was created in the first place to help people lose weight. As more and more information has been uncovered about the acai diet however, the end result has been that there are many positive side effects to the diet that have absolutely nothing to do with weight loss.

One of those is the presence of healthier skin, something that has had many dermatologists raising their eyebrows in fascination. As weird as it might be, the acai berry seems to have a positive effect on skin. Some people that take it experience tighter and healthier skin that at the same time appears to have a glistening sheen on it that makes the person look healthier all over the various parts of their body.

As some health professionals have suggested however, this might not be as strange as the first reaction might suggest. After all, there are many natural substances that have been known to help make skin look better. When a person goes to a spa, they end up getting natural treatments involving lotions and mixtures that usually have at least one or two fruits and/or vegetables in them. If these products can help with the skin, there is really no reason to believe that someone on the acai berry diet cannot get some benefit as well.

The presence of this extra potential for skin health has actually started some companies down the road of developing skin creams that involve the acai berry in them. While some salesmen will go so far as to claim that the acai diet in and of itself can help make your skin look better, the real answer will come when acai berry skin creams come out onto the market and are used by a number of different people.

Until then, the only thing that can be said about this potential link is that some people have reported that the acai berry diet has indeed had a positive effect on their skin from their point of view.
