In order to detect skin cancer before it gets out of control you must be aware of the warning signs. Pay attention to what is going on with your body and the changes that may be occurring to the discolorations and moles on your skin. You must be vigilant in the care of your health and your skin to catch the problem before it is out of hand. So learn the skin cancer warning signs and watch out for them.

If you notice a growth on your skin that looks translucent, tan, pearly, brown, black, or multicolored, or has suddenly changed in appearance or size, you must immediately contact a doctor. This is a possible skin cancer warning sign that should not be ignored. If it turns out to be cancer, treatment can commence immediately and increase your chances of eradicating the cancer.

This is a potential sign of an early-stage skin cancer. You need to have it examined as soon as you can so that it can be treated and eliminated before it gets too serious. To be sure that your skin cancer self examination is performed correctly, you should make note of any moles or lesions that you’ve had for an extended length of time. Ensure that they have not changed in shape or color, two of the biggest signs of skin cancer. When in doubt, consult with your physician if any suspicious anomalies are found to determine if skin cancer is present.

An early warning sign of skin cancer is noticeable lacerations that do not heal. If you notice any wounds or cuts that do not heal in a reasonable amount of time, you should contact a doctor to check it out.

Being aware of the signs of skin cancer is your responsibility and only you can monitor your own health. To ensure that you fight the battle against skin cancer, do everything you can to protect yourself including consulting a doctor and using sunscreen when outdoors.

Stay out of the sun during the suns strongest times between the hours of ten AM and three PM. This is the period when the most harm can be done if you are exposed to the sun without any protection.

To prevent skin cancer you should take the time to recognize the warning signs and wear sunblock. You should always be aware of any abnormal physical changes in your health to increase prevention of possible serious conditions.

Jenny Craig is a great lose weight program for busy people who want to be able to microwave their meals. Everything - except a few products from the produce aisle and milk - is included with the program. You will also meet one-on-one with a consultant to track your progress and do the weekly weigh-in.

While Jenny Craig is good it is also pricey. A week’s worth of “Jenny Food” can set you back $150. That fresh produce and milk you need get will cost you an extra $30 to $50 at the grocery. But many say it’s worth it. The food is supposed to be quite good.

Nutrisystem provides a similar program at a lower cost. The food is shipped to you four weeks at a time. Three fourths of the meals are shelf stable (i.e. freeze dried) and dont need to be refrigerated. A new component to the system is their frozen food which composes one week of food each month that you can spread out through the month.

The freeze dried food do not taste all that great. However, this is a much cheaper option for those who cannot afford Jenny Craig.

There are so many lose weight programs around that you have to pick and choose what works best for you. Dont swing from diet to diet. Instead, pick a plan that feels right and stick to it for the long run or until you meet your weight goals.

Once you have found the lose weight program for you, stick to it. That’s the way you can enjoy your weight loss goals, and not to mention make the most of your investment.
